The Board of Directors is the heart and soul (“governing body”) of kulturgrenzenlos e.V.! Board members play key roles in managing the organization and actively shape our work and development. The Board is elected annually for a one-year term.
Each board member sets their own priorities and provides their own impetus based on their specific role, driving social change in line with our bylaws and the values enshrined therein.
Then join the board of kulturgrenzenlos!
We’re a diverse team of volunteers who meet regularly to discuss important matters concerning the organization and come up with new plans for it!
We’re looking for people who want to help shape our organization. Everything we do is a team effort and involves close collaboration with our staff.
We have a variety of roles where you can get involved in a flexible way – and you can switch between them as your interests, schedule, and enthusiasm change.
In the Human Resources & Administration department, you’ll handle all kinds of HR matters, manage membership records, and address important concerns of our full-time staff, as well as help organize the occasional team event or board meeting. You’re a true team builder and organizational whiz, enjoy listening to others, and aren’t afraid to tackle contractual and legal language, call the tax office, or sit in on a job interview.

In the Strategy & Development department, you will further develop the association and its mission statement, provide innovative ideas, and contribute your insights on which structures could be optimized and how. As a visionary shaper of the future, you’ll devise creative, long-term visions for the coming months and years of kulturgrenzenlos and work purposefully to realize these visions and inspire others – for example, in joint workshops – with your ideas. In this role, you can practice your strategic thinking skills and help shape the club’s development!
In the Finance & Accounting department, you’ll keep track of our finances amid the sea of numbers, plan and monitor project budgets, and manage the association’s funds. You don’t necessarily have to be a math whiz, but you should enjoy working with numbers and be able to work in a structured manner.
In the Representation & Networking department, you’ll represent us to the outside world without cultural boundaries, secure new partners or sponsors for us, and participate in various important events and committees.
As a communicative networker, you are open and enjoy approaching people, nurturing and maintaining contacts, and positioning us within relevant networks. You don’t necessarily have to enjoy being the center of attention, but you do present yourself confidently and take pleasure in telling others about us and helping to decide how the association presents itself to the public.
