Vision

These and many other questions were part of a survey in spring 2020. We wanted to find out from our kulturgrenzenlos community what defines the association for them: What are the most important values and why is it important that kulturgrenzenlos exists?
The evaluation of the results revealed the four most important values (core values) of kulturgrenzenlos and a core purpose. In addition, we have formulated our vision for how Kiel society should live together.

This together represents the vision of kulturgrenzenlos. The vision shows what we do, how we do it and why we do it. And if you agree with all of this, then you’ve definitely come to the right place.

Our four core values

Respectful interaction

We respect each other and treat each other with respect.

Team spirit

We make decisions and work as a team with flat hierarchies.

Openness

Everyone is accepted and welcome here just as they are.

Friendly cooperation

We treat each other as equals, with goodwill and trust.

Respectful treatment

We respect each other and treat each other with respect.

Openness

Everyone is accepted and welcome here just as they are.

Team spirit

We make decisions and work as a team with flat hierarchies.

Friendly togetherness

We treat each other as equals, with goodwill and trust.

Our core purpose

kulturgrenzenlos facilitates encounters between people from different cultures who might not otherwise meet. In this way, we want to break down prejudices and inhibitions and facilitate understanding and friendships. In the long term, we are making a contribution to an open society and peaceful and respectful coexistence in Kiel and beyond.

We are working towards this future

Just imagine:
Kiel is a city where nobody has to feel alone. There are countless opportunities to come into contact with other people. It is completely normal for people from all over the world, from different cultures, to come together here in Kiel. No one is excluded from public life because they don’t speak a language. On the contrary: it is completely normal for people to switch between different languages. Kiel has become a city of living diversity in all areas of life. There are many different languages, cultures, traditions, gender identities, points of view, leisure activities and food cultures. Coexistence is characterized by respect and openness towards everything new. People trust each other and are not judged on the basis of their origin, but only on the basis of their humanity. People will experience an open, respectful and friendly coexistence in Kiel and carry this with them.

  • Rolle im Projekt:
Projektkoordinatorin im Projekt “CoCo – Cooking Connects”
  • Was motiviert dich, bei uns mitzuarbeiten?

  • Was bedeutet dir interkultureller Austausch?
